Laidlaw Park is a community-oriented park situated just south of Laidlaw School, across Maple Street. The park is an “L” shaped space that primarily supports school activities on the northern end, while offering recreational facilities on the southern half.

🛝 Playground & Pavilion

In 2017, a new pavilion and playground area were added to the northeast section of the park. The Patrick R. McNaughton Memorial Playground, named in honor of a local child, features vibrant green equipment, including a zip line, slides, climbing apparatus, and a train structure. The playground was designed with input from Laidlaw students and the community.

⚾ Softball/Little League Field

The park includes a softball/little league field with a 20-foot backstop. The diamond has a grass infield with baselines of baseball mix, and players’ benches are located behind the sideline fences.

🎾 Tennis Courts

Two tennis courts are situated in the western section of the park, providing space for tennis enthusiasts.

🌳 Additional Features

The southern section of the park features a mature grove of trees, offering shaded areas for relaxation. A small athletic field is also available for various recreational activities.

🏫 School Play Priority

Please note that during school hours, the playground and surrounding areas are primarily designated for use by Field Park Elementary School students. Community members are welcome to enjoy the park during non-school hours.
