Park Pet Policy

No person may allow a dog, cat, or other animal (owned or controlled by another) on Park District land or in Park District facilities without a leash or prior approval from the Park District.

Park District officials or Western Springs Police Officers may remove any unleashed animals or those causing disruption.

The responsible person must pay any fees or costs related to the recovery of the animal from a shelter, in addition to any applicable fines or penalties.

Animals must not run free, bark, or howl on park property.

All animals must be kept on a leash no longer than seven feet at all times.

Pets are not allowed on courts or playing fields.

Dog owners must carry appropriate equipment to immediately clean up their animal’s waste.

A maximum of three animals is allowed per residence.
