Craig Himmelmann is the Director of Parks for the Western Springs Park District and has been with the Park District since 1985. Craig works with Park Commissioners to help develop strategic plans for the parks along with being responsible for the supervision of 3 full-time employees and 4 summer workers.
The Western Springs Park District Staff is responsible for the condition of all 13 Western Springs Parks. They support sports activities with field maintenance. They clean up, empty trash, prune, mow and provide overall care for the parks. All fulltime staff is fully trained by Park District Risk Management Agency.
Maribeth Newell is the Park Board Secretary for the Western Springs Park District. Since accepting her appointment in 2007, Maribeth has been responsible for the official recording of Board business and coordinating Park Use Permits.
