A community

is best served by having a variety of types of parks and other green spaces that are strategically located throughout the community and that are readily accessible to all of the users that live within that community. Currently the Western Springs Park District provides four types of parks. They are tot lots or miniparks, neighborhood parks, school parks, and a community park.
